You’re The Best! - Call For Collaborators

Hey Artists,

We need your help letting people know that they’re the best and, since you’re the best, we think that you would be perfect for the job!

We want to give people a space outside of social media to record their favorite uplifting quotes or memories that are too meaningful to forget. We also want to help them to combine these important reflections with beautiful art, because art makes us happy!

Did you know that simply observing lovely artworks reduces stress hormones and releases endorphins?

We think that’s pretty powerful!

It’s a fact - what you do helps people, so we need your help to spread the word. That’s why we’re opening this call for collaborators.

In the spirit of transparency, we think it’s important for you to know that the app isn’t even making enough money to support itself right now. This has truly been a labor of love that we honestly believe in, and we won’t give up on it. There is no other app out there like ours that combines this brand of self-care with unique artwork from amazing independent artists-and is committed to supporting those artists. By joining us, you understand that we are all taking a chance here, but together our chances are better.

  1. What’s You’re The Best?

    • It’s an app for iOS and, coming soon, Android, that combines art and words to bring a little more joy into the world every day. Click here to find out more

  2. What does a collaborator have to do?

    Each collaborator provides:

    • 3 artworks for inclusion in You’re The Best! (as PNG images with transparent backgrounds)

    • A short bio

    • A head shot/avatar

    • Links to any of the following services:

      • Website

      • Instagram

      • Twitter

      • Facebook

      • Etsy

      • Society6

      • Patreon

      • YouTube

  3. Who owns the artwork?

    • The creator retains the rights and ownership of their work.

    • You’re The Best! will get the rights to use the artwork within the app indefinitely.

    • Artist will be credited in the app at all times included on wallpapers and shared images

  4. What does the collaborator get for their artwork?

    • Inclusion in You’re The Best! for iOS and Android (coming April) which means:

      • Artwork will be included in the regular image rotation for daily messages

      • Artwork will be included in the available images for users to create their own entries

      • Artwork will be included in the available images for users to create their own wallpaper for their devices

      • Artwork will be included in the available images for users to share to social networks, messaging, etc

      • Artist bio and links will be accessible in the app

      • The option to link to external sites to sell prints/etc of the artwork

      • Special notifications to introduce your new work

    • A share of the app profits (see below)

  5. How does profit sharing work?

    • We will reserve 70% of profits for collaborators

    • Profits are divided evenly between all collaborators. Total active collaborators will be capped at 24.

    • Collaborators are paid out every 3 months over the course of a 12 month period.

    • To ensure transparency, regular financial reports will be provided.
